Sydney - Day 4

Finally!  I know!  I know!  I've been remiss (I'll go into another post on why).  Anyway, Syndey - Day 4 ....

So, the last day in Sydney was spent by me enjoying a couple of hours at the spa while Juan participated in the company sponsored Amazing Race.  The morning gave me enough time to go shop for gifts to bring home and to just unwind a little after 3 full days of fun fun fun.

The main event of the trip was the gala dinner at the Sydney Opera House.  Wow!  There are just no words to describe it.  I, of course, gussied up for the night.  It's not every night one gets to dine at such a world renowned venue.  I put on my high high heels, my short black dress, and had my hair and face done (although I wasn't too thrilled with how my face turned out).

Our "formal" photo taken in front of the opera house

Seated for dinner - pardon the finger but it was the best indoor photo of us

The evening was capped off by a surprise performance by an artist.  The organizers did a wonderful job of keeping it hush hush because we were all a-twitter with speculations.  They did not disappoint.

It was a private performance by Jennifer Hudson!!!

Okay, I wasn't a big fan of hers; but after that evening I was super impressed.  This woman can sing.  Now I have to watch Dream Girls.

Our sojourn in Sydney was just simply amazing!  The city was dazzling, the friends we met with and made were just the best, and it was an experience truly to stay with us for the rest of our lives.  It was a bittersweet departure but we were both looking forward to coming home to our little one.

We look forward to going back again soon.
